Foggieton Wood is a busy urban woodland with paths linking Cults and Bieldside. The paths have have been designated as core paths by Aberdeen City Council. Existing pathways required a significant upgrade to withstand heavy pedestrian usage. Following a successful tender submission McGowan Ltd were awarded and undertook the path upgrade.

Project Notes:
- 1500metres of lowland path construction, path width 1.2metres
- All path construction materials procured from locally sourced quarry
- Pedestrian management throughout construction phase due to high usage from walkers, dog walkers, cyclists and horse riders
- Existing utility protection adopted due to nearby overhead power-lines and mains water pipe location in area of works
- Traffic management on main roadway which intersected the site
- Use of on site stone to provide rest points for path users
- Full reinstatement of path sides to blend naturally to adjacent landscape
