As part of an ongoing programme of infrastructure upgrading, Aberarder Estate contracted McGowan to replace an existing wooden lunch hut with a high quality sustainable bespoke structure.

Providing shelter for shooting parties at meal times and during periods of inclement weather the lunch hut was constructed to traditional building standards, faced with reclaimed stone with oak trusses a turf covered roof. The internal construction with visible stonework, natural stone flooring and a wood burning stove creates a welcoming and functional ambiance.

The single storey structure was designed to fit comfortably into the surrounding landscape and utilised a wide range of construction disciplines delivered by a  multi skilled McGowan team.

The McGowan Team designed the project and gained planning application then constructed as a one stop service.
